Greg Urand, the trainer, previously served as the Unit Commander at Marine Rescue Port Jackson, where he managed rescue boat operations across Sydney Harbour. He is an officially authorised boat licence instructor approved by Transport for NSW and also holds a valid Working with Children Check.

Greg is qualified with a Commercial Coxswain Grade 1 Certificate of Competency, along with Master under 24 metres and MED 2 & 3 certifications. In addition, he is a certified invigilator for Marine Radio Training Courses and a qualified first aid instructor.

Throughout his career, Greg has been involved in numerous coordinated missions alongside Maritime and Water Police teams. He also regularly works as a skipper on commercial charter boats.
